Spring Tonic!

An evening of poetry and music to take you into a fresh new season

Spring into the season with some inspiring words from poets Nigel Lawrence and Robert Seatter, accompanied by guitarist Graham Brough.

Fresh and funny, evocative and intriguing, these poems are guaranteed to get you thinking and feeling about things differently…

·  Heard the one about the goldfish that led its own Extinction Rebellion or the ‘pop’ rabbit that tried to join a boy band? Nigel’s surreal and antic poems will have you looking at your household pets as never before.

· It’s May - and so the mood turns to love. So these two poets ring the changes in love’s many moods – from breathless first encounter to the trials and wonders of domestic routine, and right out the other side to loss, parting and angry invocation.

·  We’ve all got one, love ‘em or loathe ‘em: families. We’ll read poems on the gamut of family relationships - plus a tasty selection of food poems to get the taste buds tingling.

·  It’s all mixed in with Graham Brough’s skilful guitar accompaniments, combining mood and theme with lyricism and flair. They include many original compositions written specially for the evening

A poetry tonic indeed to celebrate this month of Spring …

The performances will be held in our intimate tearoom with only 20 seats

£10 per person includes Tea and Nibbles oh and Cake too.
